How to Enable the Signature Screen

In the Portal, click Settings in the Navigation Menu, and then select Payment Options from the Settings Expanded Menu. Choose either Retail or None as the Tip Method from the Tip Method Drop Down Menu. Tip Methods can only be changed after all Batches have been closed.

If you would like to have a Signature Threshold, locate the Signature Threshold text box and enter the transaction amount at which you would like to begin requiring customers’ signatures. If you do not want a Signature Threshold, and therefore require a signature for all transactions, leave the text box empty.

Finally, to turn on the Signature Screen so customers can sign directly on the point-of-sale, check the box next to Use Signature Screen. Click the Save Button to save your changes.

Note:

While both the Retail and None Tip Methods will show the Signature Screen for customers, only the Retail Tip Method will display the Add Optional Tip Screen during the Checkout Process. Using the None Tip Method will direct you straight from the Payment Methods Screen to the Signature Screen on your point-of-sale.
