Other Analytics

You can access Payment Summary, Discounts, Modifier Sales, and Taxes analytics by clicking Other under Analytics in the Navigation Menu. Other Analytics can be useful for reviewing the types of tenders offered by your customers, analyzing your most popular Modifiers, illustrating Discount usage, and reviewing Tax amounts.

Other Analytics are displayed based on three organizing factors: Date, Register, and Location.  To select the Date or Date Range, locate the date box in the upper right hand corner of the screen and click on it and select a time frame from the date selection drop down. If you select Custom Range, select a Date Range within the calendar.

To sort the information by Register, chose a Register by selecting the Register drop down at the top of the screen, and click the Register for which you wish to view analytics. To sort the information by Location, chose a Location by selecting the Location drop down at the top of the screen. If your business only has one Location, the page with automatically fill with information about that Location.

The selected Date Range, Register, and Location determine the data that is displayed in the Sales Panels and Charts below.

Payment Summary

The Payment Summary Page is located in the expanded menu of Other under Analytics in the Navigation Menu offers several different ways to analyze and view differing tenders and payments accepted at your business. The Payment Type Pie Chart illustrates the amount and percentage of each tender used at your business: Cash, Credit Card, and Gift Certificate. Some merchants may find this screen helpful in understanding who their customers are, and how best to interact with them at the point-of-sale – by knowing the preferred payment methods at various Locations, at different times of the year, even the payment methods used at specific Registers.

The Credit Card Payments Pie Chart displays the type, amount, and percentage of transaction totals each card brand accounted for at your business. This pie chart includes Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and/or Discover – depending on which credit types your business accepts. 

To highlight a particular Payment Type or Credit Card in a pie chart, hover your mouse over the corresponding section in the pie chart. To temporarily remove a Payment Method or Credit Card from the pie chart, click that item in the chart key. To re-insert the item, click the item again. To view details about your most popular Payment Method, sort the Payment Method Table by clicking the Payment Type Column Name or select the Payment Method in the Payment Method Pie Chart.

The Payment Type Table displays different Payment Types alongside the type of Credit Card (if applicable), the number of payments completed with that Payment Type, the percentage of total payments that Payment Type represents, the total dollar value of that type, and the percentage of total sales represented by that Payment Type. You can sort each of the columns in the table by clicking on the Column Name representing that column. Click the Column Name again to restore the original order.

Discounts

The Discounts Summary Page is located in the expanded menu of Other under Analytics in the Navigation Menu and offers several different ways to analyze and view your Discounts.

The Discount Usage Pie Chart displays the type, amount, and percentage of each Discount. The Discount Amount Pie Chart displays individual Discounts in proportion to the total sum of all Discount amounts.

This portion of the Portal can be useful to make informed decisions about special offers and Discount promotions, and additionally track specific Location and Register Discount use. To view your most popular Discounts, sort the Discount Table by column or select the corresponding portion of the Discount Pie Chart.

To view details about a particular Discount in a pie chart, hover your mouse over the corresponding section in the pie chart. To temporarily remove a Discount from the pie chart, click that item in the chart key. To re-insert the item, click that item again.

The Discount Table displays different Discounts alongside the Type of Discount, dollar amount or percentage, how many times the Discount has been applied, the percentage of all Discounts represented by the individual Discount, the total amount discounted, and the percentage of total Discount amounts represented by the individual Discount. You can sort each of the columns in the table by clicking on the Column Name representing that column. Click the Column Name again to restore the original order.

Modifier Sales

The Modifier Sales Page is located in the expanded menu of Other under Analytics in the Navigation Menu and offers several different ways to analyze and view Modifiers. The Modifier Usage Pie Chart illustrates the amount and percentage of each Modifier used at your business. The Modifier Amount Pie Chart displays individual Discounts in proportion to the total sum of all Modifier amounts.

This portion of the Portal can be useful to make informed decisions about Modifiers for strategic inventory, menu, and planning purposes. Additionally, you can track specific Location and Register Modifier use.

To view more information about a particular Modifier in a pie chart, hover your mouse over the corresponding section in the pie chart key. To temporarily remove a Modifier from the pie chart, click that item in the chart key. To re-insert the item, click that item again.

The Modifier Table displays different Modifiers alongside the current price of the Modifier, the number of Modifiers sold, the percentage of total Modifiers sold represented by a specific Modifier, the total dollar amount generated by a Modifier, and the percentage of that total dollar amount represented by an individual Modifier. You can sort each of the columns in the table by clicking on the Column Name representing that column. Click the Column Name again to restore the original order.

Taxes

The Taxes Page is located in the expanded menu of Other under Analytics in the Navigation Menu and offers several different ways to analyze and view applied Taxes. The Tax Applied Pie Chart illustrates the amount and percentage of each Tax applied at your business. The Tax Amount Pie Chart displays individual Taxes in proportion to the total sum of all Taxes.

This portion of the Portal can be useful to make informed decisions about inventories, services, and menus based on Taxes. Additionally, you can track specific Location and Register Tax information.

To view more information about a particular Tax in a pie chart, hover your mouse over the corresponding section in the pie chart. To temporarily remove a Tax from the pie chart, click that item in the chart key. To re-insert the item, click that item again.

The Tax Table displays different Taxes alongside the Tax Rate, the number of times the Tax was applied, the percentage of all Taxes that specific Tax represents, the Taxable Subtotal, the total dollar amount in Taxes, and the percentage of the total taxed dollar amount each Tax represents.
