How to Search Held Orders

The Orders Tab can potentially include a significant number of Held Orders. While the panes like My Orders, Order Ahead, and All Orders help to organize these orders into broad categories, sometimes it may be necessary to quickly filter orders by other criteria.

For example, if you have a restaurant with multiple servers, you can quickly check an individual’s Held Orders by entering their first name and last initial as a search term. The Order Listings Panel will display all their Held Orders, and if you see that they have more Held Orders than usual and are particularly busy, you can re-assign an order or several orders to a less busy server.

To search Held Orders, press on the Orders Tab in the Top Navigation Menu. Find the Search Orders field and tap inside the field to bring up the on-screen keyboard. Enter the search term you would like to use.

The search field will take the search term you enter and compare it against the Order Names, Order Identifiers, and Server Names of all orders currently being held. If any Held Order has an Order Name, Order Identifier, or Server Name that matches the search term you entered, it will be displayed in the Order Listings Panel. Held Orders that do not match the entered search term will not be displayed.

If you would like to search for another term, simply tap inside the Search Orders field again and delete the old search term. Enter your new search term and initiate search again.
