Stations

The Stations Page enables you to quickly and easily view a list of your Stations, Edit Station details, Add Stations, and Delete Stations. Stations represent the physical Printers within your business where a Receipt will be printed. For example, if your business is a restaurant, a Station can be created for your Kitchen Printer so that orders requiring kitchen preparation are sent for printing at your Kitchen Station, thereby keeping your kitchen staff informed about orders they should be preparing.

View Stations

The Stations Page allows you to quickly see a list of Stations that have been added for your business. If your business has multiple Locations, you will need to select a specific Location for which you wish to view existing Stations from the Location Drop Down Menu at the top of your screen.

Stations are displayed as rows in a table with two columns: Name and Type. The Name Column shows the names of your Stations, for example Bar Station or Kitchen Station. The Type Column shows whether the Station has been designated a Kitchen Type Station or an Expeditor Type Station. By default Stations are displayed in alphabetical order by the Station Name. However, if you would like the list of Stations to be displayed according to a different order, click on the Column Name by which you wish the list to be ordered.

The Stations Page also allows you to export a CSV document of all your Stations for viewing in an external program.

Add Station

The Stations Page enables you to add new Stations to your business by clicking the Add Station Button.

The Add Station Page includes a panel where you will be able to enter a Name and select a Type for your new Station.

Name

The name you enter here must be unique. For example, you cannot have more than one Station that is named Kitchen at any single Location.

Type

There are two available Station Types: Kitchen and Expediter. A Kitchen Type Station will behave differently from an Expediter Type Station in one key respect. A Kitchen Type Station will print Receipts that only include Items that have been configured to be printed at that Station. Whereas the Expediter Type Station will print Receipts that include all Items in an Order. This allows an Expediter to keep track of orders and helps the Expediter facilitate the proper preparation of Orders that contain kitchen and non-kitchen Items.

Edit Station

The Stations Page enables you to edit Stations by clicking the Edit Station Button, represented by the Pencil Icon, to the left of a Station Name.

The Edit Station Page includes a panel where you will be able to edit the Name and select a Type for the Station you are editing.

Delete Station

The Stations Page also enables you to delete Stations by clicking the Delete Button, represented by a Garbage Can Icon, to the left of a Station Name.

Deleting a Station will remove the association between all Items that have been configured to be printed at the deleted Station. For example, if you delete a Kitchen Station, all items that have been configured to print in the Kitchen Printer will no longer be printed there, unless a new Station is added and all kitchen Items are re-configured to print there. Deleting a Station is permanent.
